Monday, 16 September – Friday, 20 September, 2019.

The  FABULOUS  VICTORIA  HOTEL  belongs to THE TORQUAY LEISURE HOTELS, (check it out on the internet)  is sister hotel to The Carlton, The Derwent and The Toorak Hotel, and is situated on Belgrave Road, TORQUAY.   We are booked in for Bed, Help yourself English Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and biscuits, and 3 courses with choices Evening Meal, plus tea or coffee afterwards.   You have the choice of Twin, Double, Single Rooms in the Victoria Hotel which has a lift to all floors, or in ONE OR TWO BEDROOM APARTMENTS IN THE VICTORIA APARTMENT BLOCK, which is adjacent to the Victoria Hotel and offers bedroom, lounge, fitted kitchen, bathroom and hall, BUT DOES NOT HAVE A LIFT.   

There is live entertainment and dancing in The Derwent Hotel every evening and occasionally in the others hotels plus full leisure, beauty and swimming complexes.      RING 0161 624 8975 FOR HOTEL BROCHURE or check the hotels website.

TORQUAY  is known as The English Riviera, with its warm, mild climate and this ensures the growth of Palm Trees and sub tropical plants and flowers, which makes the gardens on the sea front a joy to sit in.   The sea has sparkling blue waters and the harbour is full of beautiful yachts and boats.   

The VICTORIA HOTEL, Belgrave Road,  is situated approximately 500 yards from the sea front, just passed the Torre Abbey Gardens and it is interlinked with covered walkways to The Derwent, Carlton and Toorak Hotels.   Facilities in any  of the hotels may be used and these comprise of two heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.   

Bingo is played in the Starlight Lounge in the Derwent Hotel every night from 8.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.  

Dancing is available every night from 9.15 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. in the Starlight Lounge, IN THE DERWENT HOTEL, covering all types of dancing, Modern, Old Time, Sequence, Ballroom and Line Dancing, and on some nights is available in the Victoria and The Carlton Hotel as well.    In the Albert’s Bar which is underneath the Victoria Hotel, pub lunches are available throughout the day and on some nights, there is live entertainment.  There is also a Ladies Hairdressers and The Aztec Spa beauty rooms with trained therapists.

MONDAY  -  We depart from pickup points overleaf and travel by Executive Coach with Toilet and Washroom  via the M.6 and M.5 motorways, making a comfort stop at a Services  so the driver may take his break.  

We continue on our journey making a stop at a Services for 45 minutes  which will give you time for lunch.   We should arrive at the Victoria Hotel, Torquay for 3.30 p.m. approximately.  Afternoon Tea and Biscuits is served from 3.30 p.m. until 4.00 p.m.   Enjoy this whilst the porters take your luggage to your room.  

Evening dinner in the Hotel’s  restaurant and after your evening meal, an evening of full entertainment and dancing will be in The Derwent Hotel with Bingo before hand, or check the notice board, near the Reception to see what alternate entertainment is available.  

 

TUESDAY  -  Breakfast in the Hotels Restaurant between 8.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. and this is an help yourself English Breakfast.  Today is free to enjoy yourself, check on the notice board near the Conservatory to see what activities are available throughout the day.  

Check out the shops in Torquay, visit the Harbour or Torre Abbey Gardens, watch the tennis or bowling or take the bus to Babbacombe.  Bus passes can be used on any of Torquay buses.     

Afternoon Tea and biscuits is served in any of the Hotel around 3.30 p.m.   Evening Dinner in the Hotels restaurant and after dinner, there is Bingo in the Derwent Hotel, followed by a full evenings entertainment in The Derwent Hotel or check the board to see if there is alternate entertainment in any of the other Hotels.

 

WEDNESDAY  -  Breakfast between 8.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m.   

We depart after breakfast for our day at the beautiful Victorian town of SIDMOUTH, situated on the South Coast of Devon.  The lovely seaside town has a flat promenade with quaint street and  alleyways with shops, cafes, bars

and restaurants, where you can purchase lunch.

Evening Dinner is served in the Hotels Restaurant, and the evening is free to enjoy the entertainment and dancing in The Derwent Hotel or any of the other hotels or check what’s on in the Albert Bar.

THURSDAY  -  Breakfast between 8.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m.     

We meet the coach after breakfast for our excursion stopping at TOPSHAM, where we meet the boat for our sail down the River Exe to EXMOUTH, where we spend the rest of the day.     

Evening Dinner in the Hotels Restaurant, followed by a night of entertainment  and dancing in the Derwent Hotel.

 

FRIDAY –  We meet the coach after breakfast to commence our journey home.   

We travel via the motorway making a stop for 45 minutes, which will give you time to have lunch, then we continue on our journey, making a stop for 20 minutes at a Services, when the driver will give arrival home times so passengers wishing to be met can telephone home.   Estimated arrival home time is between 4.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. approximately.

PRICE FOR THIS 5 DAY TOUR IS:  £318.00  per person sharing a Twin, Double and Single Rooms in the Hotel,

or choice of apartments, details as above.   Please note there is no lift in the Apartment Block.   Includes all excursions and sail.

SINGLE ROOMS  -  THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE ON THE FIRST 4 SINGLE ROOMS.    After they are sold there is a £20.00 per night supplement.   

Bookings are taken by telephone followed by £50.00 per person non-refundable deposit within 1 week of booking either by cheque, credit card or switch.    Insurance :  We suggest you take out your own insurance for cancellation.     Full payment is 1 month prior to departure date.
